ENGLISH VERSION'S FORWARD
Lasciato New York è arrivato il momento della California! E precisamente
Los Angeles! La mia tappa qui sarà solo di un giorno, mi fermerò di nuovo di ritorno dal Messico. E
cosa fare quindi un giorno a Los Angeles? Andare ad Hollywood!
Per muoverci meglio abbiamo noleggiato una macchina non appena arrivati al Los Angeles Airport. Pronti via e….ma quanto sono grandi le strade in America? Abituata alle strade strette che abbiamo in Italia, dove l’autostrada è comunque al massimo di quattro/cinque corsie, queste strade californiane mi sembrano immense! Per fortuna non guidavo io!
Left New York is California time! And precisely Los Angeles! I'll be here only one day, I'll stop again returning from Mexico. And what to do then one day in Los Angeles? Going to Hollywood!
To move better we hired a car as we arrived at Los Angeles Airport.
How big are the streets in America? Accustomed to the narrow roads we have in Italy, where the highway is still a maximum of four/five lanes, these Californian roads seem immense! Luckily I wasn't driving!
Arrivati ad Holliwood abbiamo fatto l’immancabile camminata sulla “
Walk of Fame” e ovviamente comprato un po’ di souvenir, ci siamo anche imbattuti nella prima di un film con tanto di tappeto rosso e parata di attori!
Devo dire che mi aspettavo Hollywood un po’ più “luccicante” e “viva” in realtà terminata la “Walk of Fame” non c’è molto altro da vedere. Ci sono un po’ di intrattenimenti ma niente che mi interessasse quindi cambio location! Abbiamo ripreso la macchina e abbiamo girato tra le favolose ville di
Beverly Hills, veramente grandi!
Once in Hollywood we walked on the "Walk of Fame" and of course bought some gifts, we also viewed the first of a film with a red carpet parade!
I must say, I expected Hollywood a bit more "shiny" and "alive" actually finished "Walk of Fame" there's not much else to see. There are some entertainment but nothing that interested me so we changed location! We took the car and we shot in the stunning villas of Beverly Hills, really great!
E per finire la giornata a Los Angeles da non perdere è il
tramonto a Santa Monica. Veramente bellissimo, da ammirare
passeggiando sul Santa Monica Pier. C’era vento ma è stato davvero bello camminare tra la gente ed ammirare i bambini divertirsi sulle montagne russe ma era ormai arrivata l’ora di cena e quindi
dove mangiare a Santa Monica? Da Bubba Gump! Tutti avete sicuramente visto il film Forrest Gump, io non lo sapevo ma esiste davvero la catena di ristoranti Bubba Gump dove l’ingrediente tipico sono ovviamente i gamberetti!
Io da gran golosa quale sono ho preso lo Shrimper’s Heaven ovvero gamberetti preparati con differenti cotture, al cocco, grigliati, firitti e in tempura accompagnati da patatine fritte e salse varie, inutile dirvi che erano tutti deliziosi! Da provare, se siete in America o a Los Angeles e non sapete dove andare a mangiare vi consiglio proprio Bubba Gump! Inoltre i camerieri sono simpaticissimi e se è il vostro compleanno vi canteranno gli auguri accompagnati da..tutto il locale!
Felice del mio giorno a Los Angeles vado a letto pronta per un nuovo giorno: prossima fermata San Diego e Messico!

walking on Santa Monica Pier. It was windy but it was really nice to walk among the people and admire the kids entertained on a rollercoaster but it was time for dinner so
where to go and eat in Santa Monica? To Bubba Gump! All you have surely seen the Forrest Gump movie, I did not know it but there really is Bubba Gump restaurant chain where the characteristic ingredients are obviously the shrimp!
I'm really greedy so I took the "Shrimper's Heaven", shrimp prepared with different cooking: hand breaded coconut shrimp, grilled shrimp, crisp golden shrimp and tempura shrimp accompanied by fries and sauces, needless to say that they were all delicious! Try it, if you are in America or Los Angeles and not know where to go to eat I recommend Bubba Gump! Also the waiters are very nice and if it's your birthday they sing greetings to you accompanied by..all the people in the local!
Happy for my day in Los Angeles I go to bed ready for a new day: next stop, San Diego and Mexico!
